WALDORF, Maryland – We often hear that in today’s economy it takes two incomes to survive. According to Sean and Jessica Britto, having both parents out of the home is undesirable for raising and rearing children. In planning for their future children, Sean and Jessica have taken matters into their own hands by starting a home-based business, “Simply Assisted”. Simply Assisted was started so that Jessica could be home to raise their children while bringing in an income and maintaining her career. Jessica Britto quit her job with a California non-profit association, where she was a highly successful Communications Manager to start and manage their business. Jessica states, “I really
want to have children; however, I don’t want to have to decide between my family and my job. I know quitting my job and starting this business is a risk and personal sacrifice, but I know it will be well worth it.” They decided to start Simply Assisted and get it up and running before they have children. And with her husband at her side Jessica knows she will be successful.
Jessica testifies, “Home-based businesses are the wave of the future. I decided on Virtual Assistant and Information Technology services, but there are many different career paths in the home-based industry. There is an entire network of moms and dads that are taking their children’s future to heart and taking a chance on the home-based industry, which I believe is a sign that children need to be raised by their parents and parents are paying more attention to their children’s needs.” More and more moms and dads are realizing that, especially in today’s society, it is important for our children to have guidance. So are we going back to the future? Or are we molding our children’s future? It’s up to the parents of America to decide.
